At the spots where my friends and I hunt we never seem to have trouble finding geese, but ducks are few and far between. Do ducks prefer a different habitat than geese?

I was going to recommend the same. Especially if you're looking for a waterfoul gun, the 887 is impervious to rust. I'm looking into one of these myself.

I can't speak for Minnesota, but I know where I live in Ohio (and it's not rural, it's very suburban) it is legal to bow hunt if you have at least 4 acres but, you do need to pay a fee and register...
