I really don't think anyone can tell you what you will like. You should shoot as many different bows as you can and then decide for yourself. Your price range should get you into all but the very top...

As the others have stated there is generally good bear hunting on public land. But to go a little further, even know the North Central part of PA (PA Wilds, if you are into advertising)...
