Keep your meat as colds as possible. Have it almost frozen. While you are grinding the meat drop ice cubes in the grinder it help keep the meat and fat cold.

The salt I use is from the feed mill it is very fine. You use salt to keep the deer from eating to much mineral at once. I know guys that have put out rock salt the deer use it.
