I agree. I have a 30-06 hand-load using 220gr RN for larger animals. I've determined that my cartridge looses the advantage of the heavier bullet at 300 yards. It is a short range cartridge.

I can agree there. I shoot almost every day and I can't hit consistently an 8 inch circle over 200 with my Eddystone. I can hit 300 almost every time with my 30-30 but I don't think I would try that...
