looking for an afforable elk hunt out west,willing to pay but cant afford the 5 to 7k price tag on the big outfitters,open to just about anywhere tags are easy to get,drop camp style,trespass fee...

asking what kind of gun to use is like asking whats a good beer! EVERYONE has a different chioce... personally i use a 223 for all my elk hunting in colorado and works great!

I shoot a pursuitLT its a couple years old but very accurate. I put a nikon BDC best thing i ever did. I shoot 250 gr. hornady bullet with triple 7 powder pellets. DEADLY COMBO.

Shoot a newtraditionswith a nikon BDC on it and you will never shoot anything else. Hands down the BEST.
