I got a lighted nock for deer hunting. Could someone tell me how to properly install it so that it works? At first, i pushed the nock completely into the arrow and shot it, but it didnt light up....

For this one spot I hunt at, its not close enough to throw feed out every day. So, if i put a 5 gallon bucket of corn out the day i hunt, wil the deer eat out of it? or will it spook them?
