I wouldn't worry to much about their dens just try to find a fence row near the area camo yourself completely so you blend in to the growth along the fence..Sit 20 -40 yards from heavier cover where...

I would try a slightly higher pitch lonesome howl no yips or anything else. Do the lonesome howl a couple of times then wait.After about 5 min. repeat then wait3-4 min. Then start your distress...

I have the Browning Short trac in 308 ,its flawless I can put 4 out of 5 in a 6 inch plate at 500 yards. I also have the same gun in 300WSM which I like even better!
