i just purchased a used remington 1100 12 gauge with a 26" hastings wadlock barrel on it for 450.00 can anyone let me know if this is a good gun for pheasants and does anyone know anything about this...

i just got a browning bar shorttrac .308, its a great gun, any one have any suggestions on hats a good brand of ammo to use to hunt for deer in upstae ny i like 150 or 165 grain any suggestions.
