I went with the Vortex Viper 3X9X40. Cabela's had it mark down to $268.00. The glass was better than the Leupold VX-2 and seemed to be a par with the VX-3.

As Josmund stated in his post you are using the wrong sabot for that .458 round. You need to use the Harvester Black Crush Ribb sabot. If that is still too tight you can try the MMP orange sabot.
