i don't know that unit, but the weather has been rainy and cool and is forecasted to be that way till tuesday, but the 3rd season is still a long ways off, check back, we look to have some snow early.

Where I hunt you might see 2 or 3 hunters during bow season and I never have to travel more than 1/4 mile to be in the Elk, but when blackpowder starts you better have your tag filled or...

Unit 74 is a tuff one to hunt a lot of private property and people, not saying there is no elk, just not an ideal unit, unless the snow flies (wintering ground). Unit 71 is a good unit, but rugged...

rochelle, it really depends on the weather, to which season is best. You will see more people around the 1st and 3rd seasons, because the first season is for Elk only and they are either sex tags...
