Wear a light pair of gloves when handling guns in your house for cleaning. If I even look at a gun, it rusts, or so it it seems. As little skin contact (sweat=salt) when cleaning is a good idea.

Mine prefers Winchester powerpoints. At fifty yards, they almost touch. At 100 yards, 4-6 inch group.

30.06 is more than enough. Any bullet, 150 gr and up would do the job nicely. Make sure you read up on bullet placement though, cause it can be decieving as to where the boiler room is on a bear.
