The best advise I was given was start light 45# buy a inexpenive bow and find someone who knowshow to shoot.Plus buy a masters of the bare bow dvd.

As for your arrows carbons or aluminum work well for me.I shoot goldtip 35/55's out of my 45#recurve and 1916 aluminums shoot well.

I own a couple 70's bear recurves one is a 45# kodiak hunter and the other is a 50# grizzly I really like these bows.Anyway I was curious how many you also shoot older bears.

Did nothing but wash my clothes and spray h.s.fresh earth spray.I also forgot deer dander.Killed one deer and had 3 coyotes in shooting distance.I DON'T WEAR SCENTLOK.
