All the traditional archery shops sell Glue on Field tips for wood arrows, try 3 rivers or kustom king. They are fairly cheap, and come in all diffferent sizes and shapes..even brass!

Wahya, im not sure about that the skins are paper thin, it probably isnt any heavier then those wrap around cresting stickers.

I made those custom for WFL/KY(Bill Leslie). Its a copperhead snake that he killed, somewhere in the mailing 1 skin got lost or stolen...so I only had enough to make him 10 arrows.

I really really love my Cascade recurve, which is made by Chek-mate but sold as Cascades thru Steve Gore.

This bow has greatly improved my shooting since I got it about 1 month ago.

You can buy woods arrows in some places for about the same price as aluminum arrows.

If you do shoot aluminum I would get feathers on them instead of plastic vanes, unless you have a elevated...

I think all depends on how much money you want to spend.
Chek-mate makes some great reasonable priced recurves, Habu,Fox,Morrison,Martin, Hoyt they all make some good bows too.

We may have a dry climate..But im saying that I have arrows that I use for stakes in plants that have 3-4 coats of Gasket lacqer on them and they arnt peeling, and they have been in the wet dirt for...

Ive never had a problem with my gasket lacquer peeling or cracking, I have several broken arrows that I have stuck in my plants as stakes and they havn't peeled and they have been stuck in the moist...

Yep Duco is at walmart for .97 a tube and I think the polyacrylic is about 12-13 dollars, atleast here it is.

Ive seen duco at Kmart in the harware section too.

You can buy Minwax polyacrylic just about anywhere that sells paints, I buy it at walmart it comes in a Blue can, and I prefer the gloss because sometimes I dont bother to dip my personal arrows back...

First off what type of paint did you use to crest with? did you use the Testors or Bohning or something else?

At the stage you are at with your arrows I would suggest that you dont apply any...
