thanks fellers, all the advice helps. but i cant hunt directly over a feeder in the great state of alabama. but there might be one about 100 feet down the trail from my stand after this weekend.

i used pecan shells on hickory while smoking whole crappie one time and it was great, i tried it on rabbit and was not as effective.
