One of my partners on my duck club shoots nothing but a 20 guage. He shoots 3" 4s. There is also a club just north of Sacramento, a very good duck club, that only allows 20 gauges, NO 12 guage guns...

If you're going to shoot steel shot, you should go with a 12 gauge, or a 20 at minimum. If you're going to shoot premium, heavier than lead shells, then a 28 would be ok for certain situations....
