Aren't those the more affordable line of bows? If it is what I'm thinking it is then yeah, that is a heck of a starter bow for a 13 year old. If he likes the feel of it than that is a bonus IMO....

Just get a scope with good eye relief. I have a Nikon that has a good 3.6 inches of eye relief and haven't had any problems.
