Creek beds are good though. If the creek runs through the property, the deer have to cross it. Just walk the creekbed and find where the sides look really beat down from deer crossing at that point....

Topo map would probably help too if you could get your hands on one. It's a whole lot easier if you know how to use them to find the funnels or benches.
