Anyone using a Mini 14 for coyotes?

I was wondering if any of you are using the Ruger Mini 14 for your coyote gun, and if so- how have the results been? What's the longest shot you dare take? I'm in the market for a rifle, and have...

RE: M1 Carbine- enough to hunt piggies?

I appreciate the responses, I've looked prices, and the new auto ordiance m1s seem way overpriced. I know I may have luck at a show or a surplus store. I've also started looking at Ruger Mini 14s,...

M1 Carbine- enough to hunt piggies?

I've been a life long hunter, mainly duck and dove, with an occassional deer/squirrel hunt mixed in. Recently I've gotten quite interested in hunting pigs, and I was wondering what some of the...

Hog gun scope and set up

I'll be buying a new rifle for hogs in 2 weeks, a Marlin 308MX lever action. I could just wing it, but I thought I'd ask what scope you guys are using and which power. I'm sure a 3 - 9X is probably...

RE: Browning BAR?

If I reloaded I would be less nervous about it, but I do like the Marlin 308MX and the 308ME cartridge, but yes- I'd be screwed if they stopped making it. Then I'd be calling one of you guys for...

RE: Browning BAR?

In keeping with the .308, have you heard of the new Marlin 308MX? It is a lever action gun, which I like for follow up shots when hog hunting, plus it is chambered in .308 Marlin Express made by...

RE: 1st Hog Gun ?'s

I don't currently have a centerfire rifle, and have never hunted exclusively for hogs. I do like the .30-06, but I've done some research on the Marlin 308MX, which is a lever action that shoots the...
