It would be great to have an Old Time Rendezvous on the West Coast....say at Shired Islaned....plan a hunt in Lower Swannee, cook, camp, and all that goes with it....some Smoked Mullet to!

I like the .280!,... great rifle for the bean fields around Orangeburg, South Carolina....been there! On the otherhand, in the brush..... nothing beats a big bullet at a moderate velocity!

When it comes to 12 ga ammo...for rifled or smoothbore barrels...the worst situation is soft swaged slug/bullets that overexpand! What is needed is a slug/bullet that is cast hard and heat treated...

I suppoes I qualiy for an Old Timer since I will be 74 in October. But, I still hunt the big hogs in the river swamps. Many of the scents that you can buy are strange to Florida deer...and turn then...

Hunting WMA's can be good if you understand what happens to the game as there is hunting pressure. You can scout before season, find lot's of sign, but after the first shot on opening day the deer...
