Yeah they work good somrtimes, but I would not put one up around a feeder and leave it there, the only time you should put one out is while you are hunting, and make sure to scent it up some.

You need to convert your yardage into feet, and multiply length x widith, that will give you the number of sq. ft.

And yes according to you measurments that is well over an acre.

In my experience synthetic urine is just as effective as a cover than the real thing. In some cases some brands are even more concentrated than real urine and gives off a scent for longer distances....

Get some binos, I have a $20 pair of tascos I got from wal-mart. All you need is a pair strong enough to see the head. Of course red head would bea gobbler, hen are always just grayish.

North Carolina is the worst, Georgia is not too bad as far as the number of deer goes, but if you are looking to hunt 120's or better the mid-west is probally the best in the world.
