ive seen this in a magazine, they said it was a tumor of some sort. the deer i seen this on, had it way worse though. they didn't say what the cause was but it could be an injury.

If I had proof that it was poor shot placement, then I would not blame it on the bullet. However I don't have proof. Not to say that im perfect but i had a good hold right behind the shoulder....
