I have to say that balistic tips will ruin meat more so if there not handloads but as for taking larger game like elk I have had no problem and they do perform at longer ranges like 200 to 350...

Jack it sounds like you only hunt with a big caliber rifel or nothing and from what you have said about shot placment that would put bowhunters out and muzzelloaders also because without good shot...

I have have went through the whole nine yards of leads for my 270. I have used 130`s they were ok then I went to noslers 150 patitions then to the solid bast boatails and ended up going to 140...

Can you cut a synthetic stock and are they hollow inside. I would like to shorten my sons remington about an inch. I have done many wood stocks. Also is a band saw the best way to cut one.

I make my own climbing stix`s and they work great there fast light and with two stix`s i can get up 15ft and set a stand in minutes and you only have to take one section down when you leave.
