RE: What do you think is more challenging?

I read it and understand it. Just think of it this way,if you were in a deer's position which weapon would you rather the hunter have, my choice would be a bow for several reasons, this is just a...

I guess I forgot that part....I like antlers because they are unique, you'll never find 2 that are identical, and the fact that they are carried around and used by such an awesome animal makes them...

RE: What is it about antlers?

For me its not so much killing a big buck, I love antlers for some reason, so finding a big shed antler is just as cool as killing a nice buck, except you cant make antler jerky I guess....

RE: What do you think is more challenging?

I think a deer has a better chance survivingif someone has a bow in their hand instead of a gun, if a deer is 200 yards away it wont get killed with a bow, but could be killed with a gun very easily....

I dont think you can plan to shoot a 190+ unless you hunt a high fenced area or manage a huge chunk of prime property. For most people that hunt in good areas you just never know when a big one is...

RE: Central WI shed

Well after carefully measuring to the best of my ability I come up with a gross of 54.5", so with an equivalent opposite sideand a 14" spread it looks to be a low 120's deer. Not bad for a city deer.

My 4.5 yr old 9 pt only had 20.5" main beams, and my 2.5 yr old 9 pt had 20" main beams, sorta funny. I'll agree, it can vary quite a biteven within the same herd I think.
