I never buy used guns and I agree, the used selection is over priced. The new guns are cheaper at Cabelasthan the local shops in NJ and they always have a lot to look at, add in points, coupons etc....

If I know that my shots will be over 130, especially 150yrds, I'll take out my smokeless savage if legal or my Omega. The 20ga and 12ga guns stay in the safe.

The 870 and 11-87 are well made expensive guns but they don't print 1" groups like the H&R's. I've seen other H&R's that don't shoot as well as mine, I guess I lucked out with a winner.

Thats true, but the Mossberg will never be as accurate as the 20ga H&R, I've owned a Moss.for many years. I still recommend the H&R and with the $200 or so left over, you can buy a Walmart 28" field...

I want a composite stock so I don't have to worry about scratching nice wood in the field. As far as stainless goes, I just like the looks of it, something different from what I have already.
