I sort of want to stay away from Powerbelts this year. Once you get a bad taste in your mouth it stays for a while.

Thanks for the suggestions. This summer I will attempt powerbelts again...

I shoot a Traditions Evolution Muzzle Loader. Last year I wounded a deer with Powerbelts loads and lost the deer. First one ever. The next weekend my Dad shot a deer with it and he got a heart shot...

Ok so if I stay with the pellets and change to a Hornady sst or XTP bullet about 250 grains or more is a better choice for me I think. '

So the pellets are not the way to go? It is so easy For me being a beginer. Sounds like the Powerbelt I was using is good enough. I do not think I got blow through on my shot. I did not find any...
