I appreciate all the input on the outfitters, its always nice to hear about first hand experience with outfitters. As staying in the US, I have just seen more bear hunts for Canada then for the US...

I am looking to go on a bear hunt this year and I am looking for some recommendations. I have been looking at going to Canada to hunt but I am unsure if it is worth the trip or just stay in the USA....

thanks for all the replies. I was going to let the skull sit in a bucket of water but I don't think the neighbors would appreciate it. Also I have no where to dump the water away from any houses....

I have used my 12ga and my 30-06 and they all work. I have had to shoot more the once with the 12ga to stop them though. I always carry a sidearm and it has come in handy. A 45 is definitely enough...

I just used a 12gauge at 60 yrds and it worked fine, but I already had the gun. Cheap and reliable. But there are definetly better choices

I am going on hog hunt on dec, 1 and I have never been before. Are there any sites you could suggest, that would show what types of tracks and other things hogs leave behind? thanks in advance.
