If there is any water sourcenearby (ie. creek ,pond, ect.) That's where I would look if there is no trail. They will almost always seek out water(if there not dead)because of fluid loss.

I have a summit viper, its ok. I still prefer my Ol Man. The summit is a little more comfortable, but the Ol man is lighter and easier to climb with, plus is quieter.
