RE: Anyone Eat Seaduck?

I ate plenty of sea duck as a child. I have no idea how my parents cooked them, though. I don't hunt them simply because I don't have a boat. I'll email my dad for a few recipes.

RE: Breaking into muzzleloading

Well, I picked up the Knight Disc that was for sale on this site. I haven't really had the chance to break into it yet, but it seems like a great place to get started. Now I need to spend some time...

RE: Maggie Scores!

WHOA! I didn't say "exactly how she should". ;) Heh. She did fine, though. We just need to "tune" it some.

RE: Help with lab

I think "over correction" might be a little harsh. It depends on what training the pup has had until now. If it's had NO field training, and all "pet" training, then she's behaving as she should....

RE: Help with lab

She just doesn't know what the heck she's supposed to be doing. I'm working through the same thing. The more birds she puts up, the better she'll get. Keep a few wings, band them on dummies, then...

RE: HOW TO MAkE YOUR DOG SEEN

I've heard of hunters shooting dogs for running deer, but never for disturbing their hunting. That's a shame. The person that takes a shot at my pup while she's doing what she's supposed to do had...

RE: HOW TO MAkE YOUR DOG SEEN

You've got to be joking. Shooting at a black lab while thinking he's a coyote? First, I'd slap a bell on your dog if he doesn't have one. They make light nylon vests, but I've never used them. If...

RE: Breaking into muzzleloading

I'll take a look. Many places won't ship muzzleloaders to MA even though an FFL is not required. This includes reloading supplies, too.

RE: Breaking into muzzleloading

I'll check those sites. Thanks! Wal Mart is out of the question, though. I live in Massachusetts. That's why I'm looking online. Most stores don't carry squat. Wally World doesn't even sell firearms,...

Breaking into muzzleloading

I'm thinking of taking the plunge and extending my barrel time this year with black powder. For someone who has never fired a muzzleloader and knows zero about them, what suggestions would you have?...

RE: I need some advise on pheasent huntin.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Here in Massachusetts all we have are stocked pheasant. This is the first time I've ever hunted stocked. I hate hunting stocked, but love working the dogs so I do it....

RE: I need some advise on pheasent huntin.

Good advice, particularly if you are hunting stocked pheasant. You sometimes have to almost step on them, or stop for a long while before they'll flush.

RE: Best bow and gear for a beginner?

I have a Hoyt Lazertec. I'd suggest you go to a pro shop, though. They're the experts, and from what I've learned different people have different bow needs. I went in looking for one thing after...

RE: gun question

I don't know about left handed options, but I own several shotguns. My only auto is no longer in production, so I can't help you there. I will say that I love my Remington 870, though.

RE: North American hunters club

Same here. I got out about a year ago. I got sick of getting their crap, then letters for payment even after I sent it back (which is a pain as well).

RE: Buying a GPS

They do work the same, but the car GPS is far better for driving than a field GPS, in most cases. My brother uses his Rino for both. I have a Garmin c330 for the truck, and a DeLorme PN-20 for the...
