RE: climber deer stand

I have a summit viper and a tree lounge. I like both as they have their good qualities. I don't have an adapter on my TL because I would not feel safe that far away from the tree. I use my Summit...

RE: I want to get into black powder this year and I need suggestions

It looks like I'm going to go with the Wolf. I don't think I can stomach spending an arm and a leg on a TC when the SC season is only 2 weeks. Just a few hours until turkey season here and I'm...

RE: I want to get into black powder this year and I need suggestions

Claydee....what do you consider too many parts? The triumph seems like it is pretty easy but I don't want to spend and arm and a leg because muzzle loading season is only about two weeks in South...

I want to get into black powder this year and I need suggestions

I am thinking of getting a TC Triumph but was wondering if any body else had a favorite smoke pole they would recommend. I have never wanted to hunt with black powder before but the two weeks...

RE: Polaris Four Wheeler

I have a new 2008 Polaris Sportsman 300. I have had it for a month and it is great. It was easy to install the winch myself although there was no easily accessible key controlled switch so I had to...

RE: Polaris Four Wheeler

I have a new Sportsman 300 and I love it. I installed an after market winch with no problems for a quarter of the cost of a Polaris winch that was half the power. I have owned Hondas and Arctic...

RE: Favorite outdoor store?

I prefer Gander Mountain. The BPS here in the Charlotte, NC area is too busy and the sales associates are very rude and not helpful. Gander has a great selection of used guns and friendly sales...

RE: ATV hitch carriers

After doing extensive research I'm going to order the ATV carrier from Versa-Haul. It seems to be the better unit because it doesn't have moving pieces like the Tilt-a-rack. I am going to install a...

RE: ATV hitch carriers

I just wanted to bring this back to the top of the list because I really want to know what every one thinks about these hitch carriers.

ATV hitch carriers

Does any one out there use a Tilt-A-Hitch or Versa Haul ATV carrier for their ATV. I have a big SUV and don't want to drive a trailer to the hunting land because it is a long trek and the trailer...

RE: GPS around $100 range

Magellan eXplorist series has a model around $100 brand new (100 or 110 eXplorist). You can also get a refurbished eXplorist 500 on ebay for around $150. I have had an explorist 200 and 500 and...

RE: Best Deer Grunt

I like the quaker boy deer grunt. I have used it in humid South Carolina and below freezing/snow in Wisconsin and it has never once hung up on me. It is cheap too...like $5 or $6.

RE: HUNTER SAFETY SYSTEM?

Gander Mountain has it for $109 as well. If you live near one then you could probably forgo the shipping charge. There are cheaper harnesses out there but the HSS is by far the easiest to use and...

RE: Groung Blinds?

bspencer,

like I said in my post the pop-up blinds can be very loud when you first pop them up which could spook nearby game. They also are not very taut in the middle so the wind flap is...

RE: Groung Blinds?

I purchased a Double Bull Matrix today after reading reviews and watching the online videos of how easy the set up was. I had a crappy blind last year that "popped" up which I only paid $40 for. ...

gorilla climbing treestands vs Summit vs Tree Lounge

Has any body out there in Huntingnet Land ever used a Gorilla climber? I have been a loyal TomCat Tree Climber for years but recently I have wanted something more comfortable to sit for longer...

RE: Dream Season Boots

I tried them on but settled on the alpha lite 3.5 from LaCrosse. The cuff at the top of the boot made them akward and that cuff is the only feature of the DS boot that is innovative...stick to all...

RE: Help on purchasing binoculars

Anything made by Steiner is great. I have the auto-focus model and will never buy another set until I lose these!
