RE: Man, has the price of shells gone up

It seems as if they have doubled in price over the past year. I buy 12 and 20 from academy for $5.99 a box. The cheapest are the federal field and range for $5.49 I think. Ridiculous. What can you...

RE: Nosler 48 Sporter anyone??

The March issue of Rifle has articles onthe Nosler Custom48 and the Weatherby Vanguard Custom . It is obvious that the 48 is a Howa action. A few things that stand out are the integral recoil lug,...

RE: Ruger Blackhawk question

I have a super blackhawk 44 7.5" barrel that I really like. I don't think you would ever come accross an unhappy owner. No disrespect to the .41 as it is an excellent round but you will find .44 mag...

RE: Favorite Weatherby Cartridge

Roy Weatherby was a great cartridge designer, and a great marketing whiz.

RE: Favorite Weatherby Cartridge

Ammo is really not that much more than a high end loading in say... 1 of the wsm's. I usually pay $40.00 for a box of 100 grain spire points for the .257

RE: Ruger Compact

I have that gun in .308. Actually my 10 year old son uses it. Nice straight grain walnut, nicely blued. Shoots good too, about an 1 1/2 to 2" at 100 yards. Pretty good for a short barrel.

RE: Nosler 48 Sporter anyone??

I dono if it's Howa or not. I heard it was, but it sure does not appear to be. The action is sort of in an octagonal shape right?

RE: Favorite Weatherby Cartridge

What is 18% efficient?
"By the way the .340 shoots a 225gr bullet faster than the .300 wby shoots a 200gr! " That's because a 30 cal. 200 grain bullet is large for that caliber. A 225 grain bullet...

RE: Mossberg Vs. Stevens

Paul is right about the Mossberg not being a Howa or a Savage. It was formerly known as the Raptor and sold for + $250.00. Mossberg picked it up, refined it a little and this is the gun we now know...

RE: Wife bought me a Weatherby Vanguard, 257 Wthby Mag

RE: Ruger Compact, question for owners...

I have 1 in .308. It is a sweet little package too. Shoots 1" to 1 1/2" groups. Muzzle blast is up there though. I like it because it so user friendly, my 10 year old shot an axis buck with it last...

RE: WINCHESTER MODEL 50 12GA. AUTO

I thought this was an interesting topic because I am experiencing the same problem with a Savage 30-06. In the case of my rifle I am convinced it is the scope. I know the Monarch is a dependable...
