Fawn Distress Bleat

I have been hearing a lot about fawn distress bleats for early season. I was wondering anyone had advice on their use or success stories to share.

RE: camo

The purpose of camo is to break up the unnature outlines of people and items in the woods that don't belong. Therefore, I intentionally select items of differing patterns when going to the woods. I...

RE: When was the last time you bought a new bow?

Bows are like cars and computers. The minute you buy one, it is obsolete. I have had the same PSE bow for 6 years and I can get 2" groups at 30 yds from a tree. Why spend the money when what I got...

RE: Money saving measures for hunting season

Don't buy every "new" thing that comes out. People have been killing deer (and other game) for year without all of this junk. Scout, prepare, and get in the woods. That is how to hunt, not buying...

RE: stabilizers

If you are shaking a lot, maybe you should turn down the poundage a little. Last year I when down 5 lbs (only about 10 fps, if you care about speed) and my shaking went away.

RE: Whats the best bow?

I agree with bloodcreek. Even the average bows today are better than the top bows from 5 years ago. Shoot until you find a bow that you shoot well and then learn to shoot it better.

RE: redhead arrows?

To get the vanes un-wavy, run them quickly through the blue flame of a propane torch and smooth them with your fingers. This won't get the back to new shape, but it will help a lot.

RE: Camo Choices..

One way to help with fading is to always wash your camo inside-out. This keeps the "camo" side from rubbing together a lot and wearing the outside of the garment out as quickly.

I would go hard 100%. A soft case doesn't provide enough protection for me. If you spend a lot of money on a bow, I would want to protect my investment as much as possible.
