RE: How do you control neighbors dogs??

I had a friend with the same problem. The neighbor let their hound run his woods at will. Every time he was on his deer stand the dog would come running by. He did all he could do to ask the owner to...

This same topic was discussed at length earlier this year, and I guess there are as many opinions on this topic as there is bird dogs......IMO it doesn't hurt them one bit. Mine is an inside dog and...

RE: Any hope on training a 7 year old lab?

Most people will tell you no. It's not that an older dog can't learn, but it often takes more time than it's worth. Be happy with a great companion and don't expect too much of a hunter.

RE: how to start

BuckAlley is dead on. The only things I would add if you follow this method is be CAREFULL not to get the seed too deep. Biggest mistake people make is that they plant too deep. Good rule: Plant the...

RE: The End of a Great Season...

I don't know what I like best from this post. The fact you're hunting an E.P., his name is Wrigley (go cubs) or the fact you've got lots of birds.

It's been pretty tough in central Indiana. We...

RE: Is a 223 to small for deer?

I've also used the 10" McDonald's straw but have had much better performance out of an Arby's shake straw which is approx. 11.5" Give it a try Leland I think you'll be happier.;)

RE: Help with selecting a gun!

A 20 that chambers 3" shells is about the same as a light 12. For the flexibility it gives I would recommend either a pump or auto. As others have said a 28 is a little light for some applications.

RE: New puppy defecating in her crate is this a problem?

Try this: Get a smaller crate. If she has too much room she'll just go to the other end of the crate to relieve herself. She is less likely to dirty her crate if she has to lay in it.
