We had a successful camera shoot...

Sorry if not posting this in the correct section...

Accubond in 300 WBY?

Anybody loading the 180 AB for a 300 WBY? If so, what have you found to work well? I was attempting to load with 84gr of IMR 7828, but the bullet needs to seat so deep into the casing because of the...

RE: .300 WSM

Just got back from the range with my Tikka T3 Lite & 180gr AB, and was quite impressed! While bench shooting with sandbags and 3-shot groups, I had a 1/2" group about 1.5" above center at 100yds, at...

RE: .270 win or .270WSM ?

I have the t3 lite in a 300WSM, which had a good kick. I added a limbsaver pad, which helped considerably, as the factory "pad" was a hard piece of plastic! My setup weighs 7 lbs with a Vari-xII,...

RE: New rifle

I do not have any exp with the 325, but it should do the trick! enjoy. My T3 Lite in 300WSM had a pretty good kick compared to my "heavy" 300WM. I added the Limbsaver Pad, which helped a lot.

RE: .300 WSM

I have not had a chance to load many rounds yet for my 300wsm, but at 100yds, I was getting good results on the 165gr Accubond with 65.5gr of H414, and the 180gr was working good with 67gr. of RL22.

RE: bolt hard to close....

Did you find anything out yet? I was having the same issue in my T3-Lite, which is now at the factory gunsmith (Beretta). They seem to be having difficulty determining what the problem is.

I would follow the process shown above as well. This was happening to my Dad's 300Wby, which ultimately required a new barrel. He was never good at keeping his guns clean...

Got a call back from Beretta saying that everything checks out ok. Of course they are testing with factory ammo, which I only had a problem with one cartridge out of 40.

I tried my suspect...

165 vs. 180

Hello All...

I have typically used 180gr hand loads in my 300wm for Elk, and have now been experimenting with both 180's & 165's in my 300WM and my 300WSM. At 100yds at the range, there is no...

My first elk was 20 years ago with my Dad's 1966 Rem 30-06, which had previously killed many elk at various distances. My shot with the 06 was a cow at roughly250 yards.

I then "upgraded" to a...

That would be my guess as well. Strange to have a bad factory cartridge, but maybe the tolerances are tight enough that there is not much "wiggle room" in the chamber.

I have a set of 300wsm...
