RE: Electric muzzleloaders banned in CO

I am not too surprised either and personally kinda glad. I think using weapon technology from 50 years ago with a few small improvements is OK, but by design, the ML season is not about the latest...

RE: throw our 777 away, look for this new powder

That stuff sounds very interesting. I'd seriously consider giving it a try, even for the extra cost if it truly amounts to a 0.40 cent shot now costing 0.60 cents or so. I'll be looking forward to...

RE: Its that time of year again!

I'm leaving Thursday for my ML cow elk hunt which starts on Saturday here in southern Colorado. First time ever hunting with an ML and I'm excited and a bit nervous. Got lots to do between now and...

RE: Inline breach plug - what do you do?

Thanks all for the tips and ideas. Gave me plenty to try before, during and after my next time out.

Inline breach plug - what do you do?

I have been shooting my new Traditions Pursuit XLT now a couple times at the range and wonder how often do you guys remove and regrease the breach plug at the range (if at all)?

I have shot...

RE: Conical Suggestions

Frontier,

Can I "take that to the bank"? ;-)

I have some 405grain powerbelts (copper series) that are hollowpoints that are not quite 7/8" in length from the hollow tip to the base of the...

RE: Traditions Pursuit Pro ML

Frontier,

That is good to know that in the heat you can't get very good groups, but can in cooler weather. Maybe I can get even better groups then when I go out again just due to the temps....

RE: Traditions Pursuit Pro ML

I don't have that model, but recently purchased the Pursuit XLT thumbhole. It shot very decent open-sight groups with the 385 grain Great Plains bullets a couple weeks ago... at 75 yards I was...

RE: Thanks Sabotloader

I second a big "thank you" to Sabotloader. He sent me some grenades as well in .503 even though I'm not sure why a sabotloader would have grenades in his arsenal, but I digress. ;-)

Anyway,...

RE: Conical Suggestions

Regarding powerbelts and CO's law that the bullet not be twice it's caliber... so in other words in a .50 cal rifle, it must be 1" in length or less. My question is this... where do you measure the...

RE: Knight Extreme owners?

The thumbhole stock is a favorite of mine too and I saw the extreme w/ one for around $375 that I really liked.

Knight Extreme owners?

Anyone comment on this rifle - specifically for hunting in CO - meaning Conicals and open sights? Looking for information on:

accuracy
function (trigger, bolt)
cleaning ease
etc.

I...

RE: Inline conical shooters?

Thanks for all the great replies so far. The white definitely has a good reputation, but I've never even touched one and $600 minimum is out of my budget.

And you are right frontier... but it's...

Can you get one for their new Rolling Block? I'd seriously consider putting out the money for it, even as an add-on accessory.

RE: KRB7 Range Report.

Chris,

Any further range (like 100yd accuracy with Great Plains) or functional reports on the KRB7? I just can't seem to take my eyes of this rifle as an option.

But besides...

Anyone own or use a Vision out there? I like the break open design and the available 209 only breach plug, the green mountain barrel and the fact that it's a Knight (good customer service).

But...

I am...
