does it make any difference between the 2.5-16...

does it make any difference between the 2.5-16 vs. the 4.5-30 if this scope is going to be used on a .223 for long range target and varmint/hunting versus on a big game rifle?

remington makes some super accurate 25-06 rnds that i shoot out of my custom a3-03 converted to 25-06. i can get < 1 in groups with remington core lokts
