What gun do you use and why?

I am just curious about what shotgun you currently use for turkey hunting and why you made the choice. Sorry if this question has been asked ad nauseum but it'll be educational for me if you feel...

RE: Hogs in NC Need help!

There are only 6 counties in NC that consider feral hogs to be "wild Boar" and regulate their hunting. The other 94 counties have no regulations in regard to hog hunting.

Here are the regs...

RE: Want something to holler about?

I wish I owned a ranch in texas with a hog problem.

That'd be cool. Not shooting them in a trap but owning the ranch :)

RE: This still makes me sick...

People pay $15,000 to fire their rifle one time.

No hunting is involved that I saw. $15,000 to fire their rifle.

If all you want is to murder/slaughter an animal you can go to a hog famr...

RE: how long to hang a bear

Where do I hang a deer if I don't have a walk-in cooler and live where it is probably too warm for outdoor hanging?

RE: Marlin Model 60 vs 10/22

I own a 10/22 and would really like the to get a Marlin model 60 someday.

I have no complaints with the 10/22. Have not done any mods and have no intention to do any mods. Reliable as hell and...

RE: Polar Bears Comments needed!

I am no expert and not claiming to be one but 25,000 bears does not seem like much worldwide. Even though it may be more than there were 50 years ago it still seems a bit thin.

Personally I...

Perhaps ridiculous questions but who knows.

Your opinion on Marlin 1894 in .44 mag for boar?

I have a friend who swears by it and I really like the rifle from what I've read.

Also, I really like the 1895G (.45 70) but I am not going...

Shooping for a scope and need some advice.

Hi folks,

I am looking for a scope. 3x9 is more than good enough. An even less powerful scope would be fine for me. I understand that 3x9 is the most widely produced so I suspect that is what...

RE: How often do you clean your gun?

I clean mine after every shooting session. Its what I learned in the army and the habit is hard to break. When you come back from the field the weapon's needs come before your needs. After they are...

RE: Novice hunter in NC

I was US Army.

82nd Airborne and the 1st Infantry.

THe hunting safety course is a good idea. I guess being safe with a firearm and being a safe hunter are not necessarily the same thing.
