I'm going to hunt public land for the first time this year. I'm going to have to use a natural blind type set up because I can't afford to get another tree stand or blind. What are some hints or what...

I am currently only shooting 100 grains of triple 7 pellets (2) along with a 250 grain bullet out of my muzzleloader. If I change the amount of powder up to 150 grains, how much would my shot be off,...

I personally love to hunt from the ground, and especially in a blind. I think it's more exciting when you are sitting 20 yards or less away from a deer. Nothing like it.

It's super easy to do. Just ground up your meat, add seasoning, put it through the jerky gun, and I just put it in the oven.

How many hrs on stand?

For those of you that keep track, how many hours have you spent on stand this season? This includes any season. (bow, shotgun, rifle..etc..)

The temps aren't too bad...42 and dropping...if I don't go back out tonight, I wont be able to try looking again until about 2-3 tomorrow afternoon. Should I wait until then?

I shot a buck this morning around 8. I waited about 35 min to go look for him and he was bedded down but had not expired yet and got up and gimped away. I left and thought I'd give him some more...

Personally, I only have experience with 12 ga slugs. I've never even considered trying a 20 ga. until recently. I like the 12 but it does kick a lot-that's for sure.

IMO the remington makes a much better quality gun. i own both of them so i can truly compare and while neither has ever jammed or not performed well, i would just rather have the remington.
