I'd say you are confussed... The 338 fed is simply a 308 case that has been necked up to 338 cal.. NOW the 338 LAPUA is all together a different story. It is based on a necked down 416 Rigby...

MAN is that the truth... And if you can handle the little extra recoil of the 338 WIN mag it is some bad news for ALL ANIMALS !!! The extra diameter and bullet weightreally is a benefit, when close...

Have you tried glass bedding your action and free floating your barrel??? I did on my 700 BDL and it shoot sub MOA at 200 yards with reload 165 billistic tip bullets. I don't know if this helps you...

I hear ya!!! Have basically the same set up and and the only guns that out shoot it are my sendor 264 Win mag and my Tikka 22/250, but at a way greatter cost for the weapon and ammo!!!

Have one in 223 and it shoots awsome. It's a very good model gun for the price... And they are a very relible in cold weather!!! I know because I use mine in Sask. Canada to shoot dogs in -40 degree...

22 hornet or K hornet because it does minimal pelt damage to fox, but loaded with 40 grn vmax it is a good yote stopper within 200yrds...

I don't own any T3 tikkas yet but I do own a 25/06 whitetail ss hunter; which is a older model Tikka,and I agree with skeeter. the 25/06 is better crossover gun then the 243 and with the 75 gr Vmax...

I use coon cuffs or egg traps they work good and there is no pelt damage. They will run you about 15 to 20 bucks each but that is here in CANADA. Good luck hope this helps you a bit...:D:D:D

The sps 700 is a good choice for a cheaper all around good gun... But if you don't mind a little weight to pack around the rem sendaro is a truely awsome semi custom rifle straight from the factory...
