what to put in a feeder

I am going to make a few homemade feeders. One style will be exposed to the elements all the time. What else would work good other then corn. Can't seem to find soybeans locally other than soybean...

ideas over the winter

we dont really have a problem with CWD up here yet. and iam in the woods pretty far i hunt over a food plot and farm land is there main source of food along with various grasses and trees
