ive killed'em with a 22 up to a 30-30 any of them will work you just gotta have good shot placement, heck ive even killed one with a shovel one time

i got a friend that had one on his 12 gauge and he went to shoot a hog and when he did the stock broke and busted out his front three teeth

i kill most of my hogs with a 30-30, 223 is also a good gun for hogs but you have to place your shot right. i have even killed hogs with a .22
