RE: Stevens 200

Been a while!
I wanted to show you guys my guns new colors! I painted it about 2 years ago, and it only needed one spot touched up! Put 500-600 rounds through it. Mostly in the fields and mountains...

Well juliohoo,
I personally appreciate the input.
My dad's gun was sent to Remington and returned "repaired," but my father called me yesterday to tell me that it seemed the same to him.
I...

RE: Pick my Bullet

Go Bonded, for sure!
They hold together much better when penetrating game as big, and dense, as elk.
I also agree with 180 to 200 gr. Probably the 200 gr for elk only, but you mentioned "mainly...

RE: Stevens 200

Welcome aboard Jason.
Your not THE Jason "Mayhem" Miller, of UFC fame, are you??:)
Anyway, accuracy is amazing with my Stevens 200! Like I stated before, I can get 3 holes to touch at 100yrds....

RE: Which Scope?

Yes, time will tell.
I have one on a .243 WSSM and one on a 7mm WSM, less than a year each.
If my Pentax holds up to these two, I will be sold for life.
Great price, great clarity.
We shall...

RE: Remington 710 Stock

Absolutely.
That is why I mentioned earlier that my boys would love it.
They are too young to have developed opinions. They'll think it's the bee's knees!

RE: Remington 710 Stock

It doesn't really shoot too bad, as far as accuracy. It just rattles like a babies rattle when slung over the shoulder. Not very good when on the stalk.
Not too many places will take a gun or ammo...
