RE: Deer hoists for use with my truck

My buddy has a simple device called a deer handle. Simply a piece of rope you hook around the neck with a handle. Cost him $10 or so, and with little work he pulled a big doe into his truck. Much...

RE: Accuracy.... groups?

RR- thanks for all the info.

Kinda confused as to what you mentioned about "tweaking the BC". Your groups were a little high even after dialing elevation. The BC was higher than the published...

RE: Knockdown Power

Too funny.

I used to live in Murrells Inlet (just under Myrtle Beach). I also lied in Hilton Head for awhile. Love the place but expensive there.
I did not realize the limit was that high!...

My groups too decreased when using the Accubond. (180 gr) I do not have a chronogaph so going on published data. Guessing around 3000 fps, +or - a little.

RE: Accuracy.... groups?

That is some amazing shooting Ridgerunner. 660! Wow. Even at 660, and with the BC and windage inconsistencies you are still well within the kill zone.
Just curious here. I got a new Leupold scope...

Testimonies are for late night infomercials. You don't see Leupold posting testimonials as they do not need to. Their reputation speaks for itself.

I know you are much more knowledgable than myelf, but I am not too sure on this. Logic would say a bigger bullet (.30 caliber) would be more effective. Perhaps you shoot your 243 more accurate and...

I can use the lowest setting 6.5 for close shots, and if given the...

Accoring to my owner's manual "The A-Bolt II's trigger is preset at the factory. The trigger pull can be adjusted within a range of approximately 3 to 6 pounds"

RE: Which Limbsaver Recoil pad for A-Bolt Stainless Stalker?

You know even the trigger on the Browning is decent. It is adjustable with a screwdriver so it is easy to lighten up. I think I have mine around 3-3.5. Now that Remington I have is hardto fire off!
