you should install a little wood burner in your stand if it is large enuf....deer will just theink there is some brush buring somewhere and if u light it a feew times a month they will get used to it...

no less than 35-40 feet if possible...i like to get pay up there so the wind is less of a factor in scent control and no deer is going to ever see u at 35 feet high...although i have heard of people...

here in southern wisconsin i usually start lookin for sheds indecember, this is your best time to find them or even dead bucks that were shot the gun season and never recovered...i have found 28...

usually u get a few more bucks if u skin em i believe..at least that is the case with muskrats and coon...coon adds nearly $5 if therye skinned properly!!..its worth the time to skin them.it doesnt...
