Hope it is marketing strategy to expand the line and attract more customers. The trend now seems to be to offer a bunch of different reticles.
Hope it isn't the marketers and bean counters that hatched a plan to play the consumer. Relabel, make cheaper. more profit.

jake, i just sent my VX1 back to Leupold for repair. the power ring is hard to turn. emailed them and was told to send it in. just waiting for it to come back so i can get it back on the rifle and sight it in.

Posted in another thread I thought Leupold was going to discontinue that line. Read a couple weeks ago that that line is no longer in their catalog. It's consolidation. Appears the VX-1 and 2 have been replaced by the Freedom line.

the quality better be as good or better then the VX1. i paid about $200 for my 4x12x40 scope. might have been a little more if i recall. hope it gets back soon. jake, have you heard from tom schaffer lately? havent heard from him for a while and hope nothing happened.
