Scope doesn't have adjustable sights

I got a cheap ass scope for fun at the gun show, and when I turn the turrets they thread off. It's only got that adjustable power ring. What am I looking at, my scope doesn't have turrets I think

Is there a black and white disk with numbers on it inside the hole when you screwed off the cap. If so, they are your adjustment, elevation on the top and windage on the side. On the disks it sould tell you how much change one click will make in elevation and windage at 100 yards. for example, 1 click= 1/4 inch @ 100 yards. So if you are at 25 yards it will take 4 clicks to move 1/4 inch. You adjust by using a screwdriver or a dime in the screw slot in the center of the disk. You will be ablr to feel the clicks, not hear them.

Could be that the cap is on so tight, the whole piece threaded out of the scope when you tried to unscrew the cap. I had that happen on an old Tasco one time. Hard to tell w/o a pic.

That's probably exactly what is happening, as the scope should be adjustable for elevation and windage. Post up a picture if you can and let us have a looksee at what you have.

When you say ".....when I turn the turrets they thread off."

Those are the "dust" covers.

Take them off, then adjust..................

Could well be if he has never messed with a scope before, as I took it like the other member that the entire turret was coming out of the scope!

You really don't need to post a picture. Just a scope brand name and model if it is marked on the scope will let most know what you have and be able to help you out.
