Default Is MOA Reticle OK for a Hunting Scope?

Question:

Is MOA OK for the Retical Calibration on a hunting scope?

I was looking at the MOA Retical on the Vortex scopes.

Thanks!

An MOA reticle is fine for hunting. It still has a crosshair. The rest of the reticle may not be usable for you until you actually learn how to use it for holdover and ranging, but that gives you room to grow if you're an aspiring long range shooter.

But it is overkill. If you're not planning on learning how to use an MOA reticle, you can get by fine with a plex, german #4, or even a barebones BDC reticle and will usually save some money in the process.
