Browning 78 low wall octagon barrel

I have a B78 low wall with octagon barrel with a Nikon scope. Can I take the scope off and put iron sights on it?

I suppose a qualified smith could do that... if you got the coin. I have a Winchester low wall like that in .243. It's a great piece (shoots and looks good both) that wears a 4X Weaver.
