Scope Mounts and Rings?

I haven't seen any discussion lately on rings and bases, and I was wondering what you guys have on your rifles and what seems to be most preferred.

Two piece bases, one piece base, or Picatinny rail? Steel or aluminum? Seperate rings and bases, or one piece base/ring combos? Fixed or quick detach rings?

Personally I prefer Talley steel fixed rings, and I don't get into QD. I keep an off-brand steel pic rail on my Yugo SKS so I can play around with a bunch of different stuff whenever I feel like popping off a few rounds.

My main hunting rifles all wear Talley fixed (steel) bases. I do have a couple of pic rail set-ups and one Warne QD on a Ruger #1S in .300 H&H.

I use Burris "Zee" rings and inserts on all my bolt guns.

Many shooters like Talley, Warne, Leupold and now DNZ game reapers also

On all the hard kicking rifles and my main hunting rifles I use standard leupold bases and rings.

I'm a huge fan of both Talley and Warne, but I have not owned a DNZ mount, and I don't think I personally know anybody who has either. We're going to start stocking DNZ on our website, so I'm interested in hearing what guys here have to say about them.

I use Warne QD rings on my heavy rifles. All of these rifles have good iron sights and sometimes when the jess is thick and the game has a bad attitude the scope is carried in a pocket. After replacing the scope on the rifle the crosshairs are still on.

Other rifles with clean barrels usually get Leupold rings and two piece bases, but there are several brands of rings & bases (all are steel) in my gun room. None of my rifles have picatinny rails for bases.

for just regular rings hard to beat millette, bases not a bunch of difference
now for precision shooting, I use a steel base, 20 moa picatinny base, and seekins rings
steel 1 pc base makes the action stiffer

I switched over two of my rifles to DNZ and really like them. Have a set of millets on my 7mm mag. like them also.

Leupold Dual Dovetails and Talleys for me.

I normally use Leupold fixed rings except for my 375 H&H which has Leupold QD rings. I like to be able to take the scope off the 375 if needed because that is my African hunting rifle and sometimes a scope can be a hindrance or even dangerous in heavy cover with things that can kill you. I've got it sighted in for 50 yards with open sights and can take the scope off in a matter of seconds. The Leupold QDs hold their point of impact when it comes off and on.

I've got a buddy that does the same with his 416 Rigby and 375 H&H but he uses Talley. What can be said of Leupold also goes for Talley.
