bushnell scope

I can get a bushnell banner dusk & dawn riflescope to put on my muzzeloader for 100.00 at walmart. it is a big scope!!! But it has to be better than my famous maker air rifle 45.00 scope. has anyone had any experiance with bushnell banner dusk & dusk scopes? How would it work on my tc omega 50 cal muzzlwloader? I dont have a lot of money to spend.

I've used inexpensive scopes and it depended on my eyes. I also tested scopes with empty rifles just before the end of shooting hours. I'd try several rifles, comparing how good my eyes were and how good the scopes worked towards dusk. It was a good way of testing if a scope needed replacement.

I have had the Banner on my muzzy for four or five years now without a single problem. I know it's far from the best scope out there but I like mine. Like gathering is not bad for the price of it. I also use this gun during my general gun hunts. Hope this helps.

+1 on the Bushnell Trophy.

I have one my Savage .308 (3-9x40) and it is perfect and zeroed right in at 150 yards. It has never moved or had problems or "acted funny" or anything like that.

I have a Bushnell Banner 1.5X4.5 on my 30-06. It was a "take-off" from another gun when I bought it for $50. It has served me well. If I had to replace it I would look at a Nikon 2X7. I like low power scopes, obviously. I would guess that even the low-end scopes of today are as good as the high-end scopes of yesteryear. At least, if it breaks, I do not have a fortune in it and can replace it with another without much outlay.

I have two Bushnell trophy scopes one on a ruger 77 mark 2 6mm 4-12, the other a rem 760 30/06. Haven't had any problems with them good scopes for the money.

I prefer leopold scopes but the Bushnell came in those rifles.

I'm not a fan of Bushnell anything, but imo the Trophy XLT is a 10x better scope than a Banner. For $4 more it's the way to go. That said, I'd buy a used Burris Fullfield II or Vortex for slightly more and have a scope that's way better than either.

The Banner imo should not be a $100 scope and honestly, I think you'd be just as well off with the $35 Tasco they sell at Walmart.
