New Product-Scope Gard
We got a new customer at work. He's trying to get these on the market. Would you put one of these on your rifles? What would you pay for one? They mount to a second set of scope rings.(You only use the bottom half)
I'm thinking he needs to market these more towards the AR owners. I don't think they will catch on with the bolt action hunting rifles. Any thoughts or opinions? http://scopegard.com/ |
I see no value added in having one on an AR or anything for that matter...just added weight and bulk...

It looks cool... it's got that going for it.
However, I wouldn't see the need, I don't have many problems with my scopes losing zero and they don't really get banged around too much. Even the minor bumps and what-not don't seem to affect them. Hard to say without knowing the price... if it was cheap enough, I might pick one up but it would be more for looks than anything else. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for it though, but that's even pushing it. Probably $3 dollars to make after the initial tool investment. |
No thanks...just another gimmick.

Looks like useless excess to me!

Nothing I can use either.

No benefit at all. Looks bad, added weight, additional rings needed, limits type of base that can be used, something to snag on gun case when sliding in. All this to solve a nonexistant problem.
